Description Of the school:

Himalayan Academy is an English medium co-educational school, running under the aegis of Leela Devi educational trust along with good managing committee. The school currently runs classes from standard 1 to 8 based on NCERT pattern. It was established in 2013 and is situated at Pakartalla, kahalgoan. The school is endowed with campus area of 2 Acre which comprises of adequate number of airy classrooms keeping in mind the need for natural sunlight and proper ventilation. The school also has a well – equipped library and a separate science, maths and computer Laboratory.  For an overall learning experience the school also has a music and dance room.  Both mental and physical growth is important for children at this stage hence the school maintains a large football ground, a volleyball court, a separate assembly ground which is also used for yoga and the school actively conducts intra school sports competition.

 Himalayan Academy is determined to impart holistic education to the young, incorporating the whole aggregate of human life - physical, intellectual and moral, individual, domestic and social. In pursuit of the ideal, we bear in mind the natural development of the faculties of a child. The holistic development of the receiving ends is the core vision of this institution.

The kind of education is also directed towards serving the young and among them particularly the poor, conscientizing them of their rights and guiding them to cope with any adverse situations they may encounter.
